IV Therapy is ideal for patients who, due to their chronic condition, find that it becomes difficult,uncomfortable, orimpossible to take medication or supplements orally. It provides faster hydration for individuals who recently came outof surgery and have lost a significant amount of fluids. Infusion therapy is also a good option for people who have beenunresponsive to oral medications and supplements. It’s great to help people prepare for and recover from physicalactivity, as well as to alleviate symptoms of migraines, headaches, nausea, jet lag, PMS symptoms, hair loss, andfatigue.

While rare, side effects would depend on the medication/supplements being administered. Some of them may include:

Prior to starting your infusion therapy, one of our healthcare professionals will review your prescribed medication anddiscuss all possible side effects with you.Other risks include infection at the injection site where the IV needle is inserted. The needle could also becomedislodged, causing the solution to enter the surrounding tissues. To lower these risks, each infusion is administered andmonitored by either a Physician, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse APRN,or a Registered Nurse RN.

The infusion is administered by injecting a needle attached to a small tube directly into one of the patient’s veins. Thistube is connected to an IV bag containing the prescribed medication(s)/supplement(s). Once attached to your vein, the solution slowly drips into your bloodstream.The duration of each session depends on the medication(s)/supplement(s) being administered and your specific needs.Regardless of how long it takes, at Eternal Youth Aesthetics, our staff is fully committed to making sure the experienceis as comfortable as possible. You canbring your laptop, a book, or a magazine, and receive your infusions in acomfortable reclining chair. Charging ports are available on every chair. We provide blankets and free Wi–Fi, and youcan listen to music or watch NetFlix on our big–screen TV. Youcan also have the peace of mind that comes from havingeither a doctor, nurse practitioner, or nurse monitoring the infusion.Another benefit is that our infusion center is more welcoming and cozier than a hospital environment. In addition, costsare muchlower at an outpatient facility than at a hospital.

You are more than welcome to bring in a family member or a friend for company or support. This is part of ourunwavering commitment to make you feel as comfortable as possible. If there are not enough open chairs for guests intheinfusion room, guests may have to sit in the lobby. We also require that all minors be accompanied by a parent orlegal guardian. A refreshment station is available in the lobby, and we also have a Kid’s Room complete with a playkitchen simulation area, asmall table, chairs, a coloring activity center, a marker board, and markers.

Yes. You can bring your own snacks or drinks. We provide a selection of snacks, as well as hot beverages (coffee) andcold beverages (bottled water, a variety of sodas) to make you feel at home.

Make a list of medications you’re taking: Regardless of whether you’re taking prescription medications, over–the–counter medications, or supplements, let our team members know. This is essential to ensure that you don’t experiencean adverse reaction from mixing items that don’t work well together.

Wear comfortable clothes: This serves a dual purpose. First, it’s practical—one of our healthcare professionals will takeyour vital signs—and wearing loose–fitting clothes will make this process easier. Second, while we’ll make sure you’rein a comfortable environment, what you wear can help make you feel more relaxed.

Clear your schedule, if you can: You may need time to rest after your infusion treatment. Your body may either needthe time to fully recover, or you may need time off if you experience side effects. Try not to stress yourself out thinkingthat you have to rush to get to work or run other errands.
